Born and raised in Miami, Florida by Cuban political refugees, Ray Lombard attended Belen Jesuit Preparatory School (‘90). During his time at Belen, he was introduced to the duty of “paying forward” and community service. His interest and experience in the hospitality industry, led him to the FIU School of Hospitality Management. Upon graduating, Ray took an entry level position in the Wine and Spirits industry, he later joined Bacardi USA where he held several progressive roles and expanded his scope of experience across several national business functions. During his tenure at Bacardi, he earned his MBA from the University of Miami. Ray went on to join Southern Wine and Spirits (now Southern Glazer’s) and has held several progressive sales and commercial roles. He serves as the EVP, Supplier Management and Business Development along with overseeing SGWS’ commercial multicultural and emerging brands departments. Ray has been married for over 20 years to Yami Lombard. Together they have two daughters who both attended Our Lady of Lourdes Academy, Tiffany Lombard (‘21) and Sofia Lombard (‘23). Both have been members of the Be the Light Club since inception, Tiffany being Vice President and Sofia class representative. Some of Ray’s passions include fishing, spearfishing, diving, boating, hunting, and traveling with family and friends.
